106: In the mood for Halloween

Helmi wants to throw a Halloween party and is in the midst of deciding what she wants to dress up as. She took out a box of costumes and props to look through today. Here is she with witch's wig, a crown, and a cowboy outfit, which she was shouting 'No picture!'

And here's me goofing around with the wigs I found.

Then Helmi decided to 'dress me up'. I dunno what is it supposed to be. It's like 3 characters combined into one.

In the evening, Anu cooked up some delicious tomato based spaghetti.

Saturday
Eliel took out some army stuff and guns to play during the day. I entertained myself by camwhoring with the army shirt lying on the floor, which sent Eliel to bemusement lol.
'Why are you taking pictures?' For fun and laughter.

Anu and Jaakko went for a slumber party in their friend's house to celebrate her birthday, so I was left babysitting the kids at night and bought pizzas for dinner. Come bedtime, it took me half an hour to get all of them to brush their teeth and go to bed, especially Helmi, who always tries to prolong her waking hours. But eventually, they all went to bed by 10pm.

Helmi taught me how to make something out of a yarn thread. She made a few and decided to put them on Pupsi. I find it so cute and hilarious!

Friday
Made some kiind of pork dish. I don't have a name for it. Was supposed to be honey and ginger pork but I improvised and put in other spices too. Anyway, it was yummy =D Except, the meat was too little for 6 people =(

This is a usual scene during meals. Any meal. The kids will usually read Donald Ducks while they eat. Sometimes, I'll join them, although the comics are in Finnish. But hey! It's another way to learn Finnish; with pictures and all.

Panukakku for iltapala

Thursday
It's autumn now. Days are getting colder, rainier, leaves are changing colours and falling.

Breakfast included this: Ham and Finnish squeaky cheese. Quite yummy.

Made pork curry with potatoes and raisins, following some of Diana's idea. Yummers!

Let's see what can be done tomorrow. Finnish class in the evening. But for now, hyvää yötä!
