Day 65 - The making of korvapuusti

Pullaa is a type of Finnish spiced bread. Korvapuusti, is a type of pullaa, which is rolled with buuter, sugar and cinnamon, and it's supposed to look like this:

But here's what I managed to whip up:

I rolled the dough to this size that I can feel muscles forming in my arms. It deserves a picture.

Ta-daa!

I know. Not as pretty as it is supposed to be. As I'm writing this, I just got hungrier. I must go get something to munch.

Test drove the manual car with Jaakko in the evening. My heart almost stopped. I need more coordination exercise. I had problems on the hill. I had problems pushing the accelerator and releasing the clutch at the same time. I had problems relaxing. I didn't even look out for cars. I saw an oncoming car on my right and I went, 'Oh, there's a car.' But Jaakko went, 'Yea but you can go.' In my head, I was like ok what do I do now. At the same time my mouth went, 'But there's a car...' Which made Jaakko to say it again, 'Yea but you CAN go.' It took me a few seconds to realised, 'Oh, right.' Just keep on the right, dearie, just keep on the right side.

Eliel was so adamant to follow us, until I had problems on the hill, which the car got stalled, and I must've restarted the engine a hundred times until I got the car to move and not jerk again. This was when Eliel requested to be dropped off at his cousins' at Aapontie cos 'This ride is scary'. It was hilarious. And embarrassing at the same time.

So much for the 21st century independent girl.
