96: The day the kids protested

Helmi: What you're making today?
Me: Spaghetti
H: No spaghetti.
Me: But yesterday you said you wanted spaghetti today.
H: I don't want spaghetti.
Me: Then what do you want?
H: Favourite chicken.
Me: No favourite chicken.
H: Why?
Me: Cos we don't have the right chicken (Fav. Chicken is made from honey marinated chicken. We had un-marinated chicken breasts)
H: Go buy.
Me: No.

Tried a new recipe and made lemon & garlic chicken.

Eliel: *peeks* What is that?
Me: Chicken.
E: I don't want chicken.
Me: But I made chicken.
E: Then I'm not gonna eat.
Me: But I made chicken...
E: I don't want chicken
Me: Then what do you want?
E: Something. Pizza.
Me: We only have the pizza you don't like.
E: Go buy.
Me: No.
Usually, the kids will eat a little eventually. But this time, Eliel really did not eat at all! He seriously refused to touch the chicken even when I've given him a small serving. In the end, he settled for a packet of Mamee Tom Yam I brought from Malaysia. And Helmi? Played on PS3 and online games until Saana went home, which was about 4pm. Took a few bites on the rice, probably a bit of the chicken sauce and refused to eat cos it was 'too spicy'. I admit I dashed in too much salt and pepper.

But it all ended in my stomach, when I'm trying to control my diet. Meal plan today totally screwed, time wise.
