Saturday
Woke up to a rainy morning. Perfect weather to stay in bed. But what I love most about (for now) Finland would have to be the fresh air (I fully agree with Angie). It's so fresh, it feels so good. Jogging in the morning, opening up your lungs to breathe the fresh air, even for the short 15minutes, feels awesome. And it feels even cooler and fresher after the rain.
I really wanted to go back to yoga since the yoga classes I attend in Celebrity Fitness was really good, to me, at least. It made me sweat a whole lot more than I usually can. No meditation, of course. Only the exercise. I looked up online and found some of the basic poses I did before. So I tried to recreate the sequence using my (lack of) memory, together with some slow, relaxing music. Didn't work out that well, perhaps because I kept getting up to check what was the next sequence hehe.
Other than that, we went into the forest to look for mushrooms and blueberries but there were no mushrooms and very little blueberries.
Mushroom hunting
And then Helmi and I started making paper crafts, from hats to boats, which we set to sail.
Sunday
Maailman Terven Kansa 2015 (The World's Healthiest Nation 2015), a joint campaign promoting healthy lifestyle and with the goal to make Finland the healthiest nation in the world by 2015, organised Perhepäivä (Family Day) in Finnair Football Stadium. We went to check the event out as Anu's workplace is one of the partners of the campaign.
Here, I was exposed to a children's rock band called HeviSaurus.
Look at those dreadlocks!
Came home after Big Bacon from McDonald's, and had homemade banana ice-cream Helmi and I made during the week.
Monday
Ocean's Twelve was on TV tonight. I was watching it for the second time and fell asleep halfway through the movie. Not because it was a boring movie, but because for some reason, I was quite tired.
Today
Tried making 'malai ko' using the steam oven but tak jadi. I should try another mode next time. The twins wanted noodles (Eemil's at camp), so I made noodles. But it wasn't Helmi's favourite noodles, it was chow mein noodles, which is actually similar to her favourite noodles. Still, she had to comment they were not noodles; they were spaghetti. Eliel had two servings, which made me happy.
Cycled to Prisma and back, and chalked our street.
Helmi learned 'hopscotch' today (hope she remembers) and says 'winny' and 'stopsticks'.
