Day 25 - Flower picking

Went to pick some wild flowers with Helmi today. When Anu told me I could go and pick some flowers with Helmi, I was thinking to myself, uh okay. So I pick flowers and then I arrange them in a vase. I don't know how I'm going to do it, but I'll do it.

I don't have a green thumb. I have zero artistic skills when it comes to flower arranging or anything to do with plants. Remember to water the plants? I don't even remember their existence! Oh the flowers are dry? Omg! I didn't even noticed them! Sigh.


So off we went. Picking random flowers and came back to arrange them in little vases. I made a jungle =D

The spread of food tonight was glorious again.


And then I made bread pudding. Too thin, as the tray was too big.


On the bright side, I'm going on a short holiday, starting from tomorrow. I will meet Angeline in Helsinki tomorrow, and experience how quiet it is on a public holiday. It's the midsummer festival, or juhannus in Finnish. I hadn't realise how big a deal it is until now. People go back to their hometowns, families go to summer cottages, there'll be parties, drinking, drinking and more drinking. Yea, that's what I heard. Doing it Finn style.

We will leave Helsinki on Saturday to Tallinn, the capital of Estonia, south or southwest of Finland across the Gulf of Finland. Somewhere there la. And we'll be there for the weekend, meeting friends and hanging out. It's my first trip since I got here. And the first time I plan for my weekend. I is excited =D
