Let me tell all of you, my friends, that the story of the Da Vinci Code is truly fictionised. The author may note that the architecture, secret rituals, and artwork are facts, BUT the author DID NOT state that the theories discussed, were factual too.
Dan Brown himself said that The Da Vinci Code was purely a work of fiction. He also claimed to be a Christian himself. It is also up to the reader's own perception on the view of the Da Vinci Code.
"The Da Vinci Code is a novel and therefore a work of fiction. While the book's characters and their actions are obviously not real, the artwork, architecture, documents, and secret rituals depicted in this novel all exist (for example, Leonardo Da Vinci's paintings, the Gnostic Gospels, Hieros Gamos, etc.). These real elements are interpreted and debated by fictional characters. While it is my belief that some of the theories discussed by these characters may have merit, each individual reader must explore these characters' viewpoints and come to his or her own interpretations."
- Dan Brown
Therefore, my dear friends, as a Christian, I humbly beseech all of you, to refrain from believing such blasphemy, but only to take it as a joke and a mean of entertainment. Believe what you want to believe, you may say. Then, so be it, if you would rather believe a fiction novel, than the true words of the living God; the Bible.

So the divine Jesus and infallible Word emerged out of a fourth-century power-play? Get real. But I guess Christians should be flattered. Who knew the Council of Nicea and Mary Magdalene could be this hot?
Many Christian leaders across the country are girding themselves for battle with The Da Vinci Code, the movie based on the blockbuster novel by Dan Brown. Whether Roman Catholic or Protestant, Orthodox or evangelical, they agree that the book attacks the pillars of Christianity by raising doubts about the divinity of Jesus and the origins of the Bible.
I think Christians really have to see it, at least some of us. It's very important for some Christians at least to be able to engage in an intelligent discussion. Last night, the 6 of us: Rogers, me, Calvin, his gf Mavis, Sam, and a friend of hers went to Mid Valley Megamall to watch it (midnight movie)... =P
In The Da Vinci Code, two sleuths uncover a conspiracy by the Catholic Church to conceal that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and that the myth of his divinity was written into the Bible at the Council of Nicea in 325 A.D. by the Roman emperor Constantine. The Da Vinci Code was marketed as fiction, but Mr. Brown said in a preface page that his descriptions of artwork, documents and rituals "are accurate".
Remember the Muslim riots over Danish cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad? Most media outlets refrained from showing the cartoons... and now I'm wondering why Christians should be expected to sit by while the media promotes a movie that insults our Savior!!! >.< I mean, just think... if such slanders, offenses and errors had been directed at the Quran, they would have justly provoked a world uprising. Instead, directed at the Church and Christians, they remain unpunished. I bet Satan and his "disciples" are laughing in hell right now... =/
Some ppl (e.g. my parents) think that Christians are under no obligation to pay for what Hollywood dishes out, especially a movie that slanders Jesus Christ and the church. Well, it's true that we don't have to see The Devil in Miss Jones to know it's pornography, hence we don't have to see The Da Vinci Code to know that it's blasphemous... BUT I'm glad I watched it cuz I think the movie was an eye opener for me. I've never seen a movie that is so intelligently made before... it was ALMOST believable. If I didn't know better, I might just believe Dan Brown's theories. Thank God I'm able to discern what are facts and what are not. I'm not as stupid as some ppl who actually believe the Da Vinci Code... =S
All in all, it was a bollocks movie. If YOU believe that Jesus and Mary Magdalene were secretly together and that she had Jesus' baby... well, you should just shrivel up and die. Seriously.
That's the article I posted at my blog... hehehe...
omg, you just made me read your blog... in MY blog... :P
